Eric Gibbons - author/educator/INVENTOR/speaker

“Eric Gibbons delivered a creative, informative, and engaging keynote presentation at our art conference. He included unique and practical ideas for instruction that our teachers could immediately and successfully implement in their classrooms. He kept their attention and motivated them to try new things in order to reach more students.” – Kevin Lacefield, Ed.D. Executive Director of Fine Arts, Northwest ISD, Texas

Eric Gibbons is a highly qualified, award winning, NJ certified art teacher (28 years) with a second certification in elementary education. He is also a published author, speaker, publisher, award winning inventor, and gallery owner with more than 20 years experience. His novel intercurricular, choice-based, STEM/STEAM approach to art education can be found HERE. To see how he builds his lessons, please visit HERE.

Speaking to Educators: Applying his experience as artist, author, teacher, inventor, and speaker, Eric Gibbons brings his message of subject integration, the value of "STEAM" over "STEM," rigorous art programs to enhance student success across content areas, and creative connections to schools across the country.   His books, often on Amazon's top 100 art education resources, are used in schools across the United States and English speaking portions of Europe. His own approach to education has yielded stunning results with his students being 50% more likely to pass high stakes exams like the HSPA/GEPA and averaging well over 150 points higher than their peers on the SAT; utilizing his "STEAM" approach.  With work in the Obama White House collection, nearly 75 books to his credit, and experience teaching in Japan, Egypt, and the United States, Eric Gibbons will provide dynamic workshops to improve school and student performance.

In 2015, Gibbons was awarded "The 2015 High School Division Award" by the Executive Board of Art Educators of New Jersey, recognizing him for his art education excellence.

My popular keynote address touches on multiple topics below, and affirms the critical importance of art education and how to improve classroom practice to help all students succeed in school (and life). This keynote includes data and evidenced-based research wrapped in an uplifting and inspiring presentation.
FEES & DETAILS:

As Gibbons nears an early retirement, his goal is to share his many successes with schools, teachers, and educational venues around the country. To that end his "fee" for speaking is flexible to meet your budgetary constraints. This is a starting point for that conversation.

#1. Cover basic travel costs/accomodations from NJ to your event.
#2. Either a flat fee* or the opportunity to make books available to participants (Both would be nice).
#3. Mr. Gibbons will be available for keynote presentations and small group workshops.
#4. Nasco is a partner with Gibbons, and may make some resources available for free based on the topic.

*Fee will depend on the duration and size of the event and your budgetary constraints.

Use the contact link to request additional information, or email for a faster reply to Mr. Gibbons directly to LOVSART (at) GMAIL (dot) COM (Subject: Art Ed Speaker Request) . His office can be called most evenings at:
