Art Quotes (plus one alternate) Students picked quotes from a hat based on the book "300 Art Quotes." They were given 5 minutes to read and exchange quotes if they liked. They then had to write their interpretation of what the quote was teaching. They started to sketch after that, knowing they would be allowed to work in any media we had yet covered in class. (Art 1)
The last image was for an alternate I did were students researched quotes and found one they felt spoke to them personally. The last student is the star of our Basketball Team. They did the illustration but also had to do a short bit of research on the author of the quote and share it with the class.
