Purchasing an original paintings from Eric Gibbons, the "Art Ed Guru."

As I near retirement, I need to divest myself of a huge collection of my own art. If you want to know more about me & my educational approach go HERE. For an article about my art and books, go HERE. To see and purchase one of my many books, do to Firehousepublications.com.
I am going to avoid the mumbo-jumbo "art speak," and just tell you that my black and white box paintings (Featured in ArtNEWS Magazine, American Art Collector, The Obama Whitehouse, and more are allegories about my life and experiences. |

ALL the paintings below are in monochromatic black and white oil paint on heavy archival canvas. Each canvas has an inscription on the back with dates, model information, and a title. Some include more. The images are 30 x 30 inches. (~76cm²) Each image is an allegory from my life, experiences, or point of view. Some express the masculine side of myself (hence there are more male figures) and some express what is traditionally considered the more feminine side of myself. I was inspired by a 2004 trip to The Louvre in Paris and switched from a more "pop" style to this more neoclassical approach inspired by artists like Ingres and J.L. David. Though my paintings may appear to be photographs, up close, they are built with calligraphic brushstrokes that cover the surface, influenced by my studies in Japan from 1987-1988. These are oil paintings based on modeling sessions I have with well-paid models who actually sat in a box as I worked. Prints can be ordered HERE. Below are original oil paintings I have on hand in my studio. As they sell, I will delete the images.
The price I will individually quote you includes "rolled" shipping within the UNITED STATES. If you are outside the USA, you must let me know. I will need to investigate internationally prices for shipping. Use the contact link below, naming the painting(s) of interest to you.
"Rolled" shipping means I will unframe the work, roll it, and ship it in a tube to you so you can take it to a frame shop and have it re-stretched on a 30 x 30 inch frame, or museum mounted onto a 30 x 30 inch board. You frame it as you like to fit your personal decor.
IF you want the work shipped flat*, stretched, and ready to be framed, this requires a large box (36 x 36 x 6 inches) and will cost an extra $200 with insurance. Use the contact form below to let me know your preference. All sales are final but insurance will cover damage or loss of shipment.
All paintings will be checked and touch-ups applied if needed. This may delay shipment a week for paint to dry, but I want to ship you a perfect painting without any scuffs from transporting canvases to exhibitions across the country. A Certificate of authenticity can be included upon request at no additional cost.
In a gallery setting my paintings sell for $3500 each. They have sold for as much as $8000 each at trade shows. I am selling them direct to you for less than that but due to agreements I have with some galleries I cannot post a price here. I will send you a quote to accept or refuse. A link for payment of acceptance will follow shortly. Thank you for your interest.
